Dexter

Each year Dexter takes on a charity event to raise money for a cause of his choice, this year he has designed (with help from his Mum and Dad) a triathlon, helping him to raise money for the Jim Cronin Memorial Fund. Unbelievably, Dexter turns 4 years old in January!

Why did you want to raise money for the JCMF?
“I have had my toy monkey (Hammond) who is the photo on my just giving page since I was born, and he comes everywhere with me. Mummy and Daddy have brought me to Monkey World a few times now, and I love watching all the monkeys play and enjoy themselves.”
How have you been training and preparing yourself for your triathlon?
“I have been running round lots with my friends and swimming loads in preparation for the event.

My teachers at school have allowed me to complete my triathlon using the school facilities.
I will be completing my swim on Tuesday 21st November as part of my swimming lesson and then on Friday 24th in the afternoon I will be running 10 laps of the road track in the kindi courtyard and then riding 10 laps of a track that my teacher is making for me in the grounds.”
