Tanya & Jon Run Chester Marathon

Jon and I (Tanya) will be running the Chester Marathon on the 6th of October. It will be Jon’s first marathon and my second (I completed the London marathon this year), after having taken up running 3 years ago by starting with the couch to 5k. We want to make all the hard training worthwhile and have therefore chosen to support a charity close to our heart.

Having first been introduced to Monkey World through the series Monkey Business and Monkey Life by our 5 year old son, Ben adopted Seamus and now as a family we have adopted the ‘ugly monkey’s’ after visiting for the first time at the ‘Big Sleepover’ last year. We were made to feel very welcome and they were particularly understanding of my autistic son Alex. We had such a lovely time we are heading back this year. We love the work Monkey World and the Jim Cronin Memorial Fund do and would like to do our bit to help.
